Welcome to Sylk Cellars.
Sylk is all about love, location, and living. You have to love wine to be in this business. While grape-growing and winemaking appear steeped in romance and glamour, the truth is there’s a lot of dirt, work, and angst that goes into producing a bottle of wine. Mother Nature has the upper hand. For the farmer-winemaker, it’s a love-hate relationship. We love it when everything’s perfect, we hate it when it’s not. Our only real constant is dirt, the essence of location.
The wine of Sylk Cellars is sourced from its own vineyards in the Napa Valley. Our location provides the origin of Sylk’s name. Sylk Cellars vineyard is planted along the Silverado Trail where it meets the southern border of the Stags Leap District and eastern border of the Yountville District. The Oak Knoll District is a stone’s throw away.
Hence our name Sylk — Stags, Yountville, Leap and Knoll.
The wine is the culmination of seven years from planting to release to your table. Each bottle of Sylk opened, shared, and enjoyed is a celebration . We hope you will cherish our labor of love and enjoy one of life’s gifts – wine - as much as we do.
